Celebrate the launch of debut picture book, Grandma Z, from acclaimed Australian illustrator Daniel Gray-Barnett.

A rollicking adventure story featuring a thoroughly modern grandmother with stunningly imaginative illustrations using three vibrant spot colours. Illustrations from Grandma Z were chosen from thousands of international entries for the prestigious Society of Illustrator’s Book exhibition to be held in New York in February 2018. Grandma Z was also selected for Ilustrarte 2016—Biennale of Children’s Book Illustration.

Gallery exhibition opens 29th March – 16th April.

daniel_may16b_square_b&wDaniel Gray-Barnett is an illustrator and author from Sydney, Australia. Self-taught, he studied Medical Science at the University of Sydney before swapping his microscope for pencils when he realised illustration had a much lower patient mortality rate. His illustrations have been commissioned by clients such as The New York Times, Sydney Opera House, Penguin Random House, Warner Music and The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. His work has been shown internationally and has been awarded by the Society of Illustrators NY, Communication Arts and the Illustrarte Biennial.
He has three grandmothers and Grandma Z is his first book.
